Democrats Kenya is a new youth movement with a vision of a better Kenya. The youth have realised that they are being used by the main stream political parties for their own political interests while they still remain jobless, frustrated and hopeless. Most of the so called politicians were MPs when most of us were still in school and they are still MPs and have no achievements to show in their constituencies apart from being corrupt and don’t cares. They think they are the only people that matters in the society.

Most of us has realised that, we employ them through the ballot and they forget about the rest us. They have forgotten that the contract of employment between us is renewable every five years. All our leaders are multi-millionaires while most of us are living in unforgiving poverty. We employ them while we are not employed ourselves or never been employed in most cases. We make them our managers but they steal the very assets we asked them to protect. The tears of the hungry and the blood of the dead will not forgive us if we do not take our responsibilities and fight for a transparent democracy trough the ballot.

Our lovely country Kenya has been turned to a monarch by a few families who believe that Kenya is theirs and the rest of us are just visitors or servants. They believe that, one of their own must be a leader whatever the cost and are determined to hold on power whether we like it or not. To make sure that they remain in power, they have come up with another dangerous trick called “divide and rule”. We all witnessed what happened to Rwanda when the same divisive tactic was used by the two main tribes and some of the waheshimiwa (honourables) will not shy away from applying the same in our country driven by greed.

We were living as one Kenya, one tribe and one society but a clout of evil leaders poisoned our minds in 2007. Imagine a neighbour whom would help you when in trouble became an enemy overnight and did not mind slashing your throat because of the greedy leaders dining together in Nairobi under tight security while we kill our brothers and sisters for them. The Democrats Kenya will be working to unite Kenyans again and our societies will live happily together again. We will be a generation of change as our aim is to replace all the leaders and bring in fresh ideas on how we can move our country forward.
